Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer has agreed a partnership with the 2017 edition of the Tour of California UCI WorldTour cycling race.
Tag Heuer will serve as the official timekeeper and watch partner of this year’s event, which will be the first time that the race will feature on the UCI WorldTour calendar.
The company will also become the presenting sponsor of the ‘Best Young Rider’ jersey, which will be awarded daily to the rider under the age of 23 with the least amount of elapsed time over the entire race to that point.
In October last year, Tag Heuer confirmed its return to the professional cycling circuit by agreeing to sponsor UCI WorldTour team BMC Racing from the 2017 season.
The 2017 Tour of California UCI takes place in the US state from May 16-20.
