Toronto 2015 unveils two new partners

Canadian municipal electricity distribution company Toronto Hydro and entertainment firm Cineplex Entertainment have agreed to become official suppliers of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games multi-sport events.

Toronto Hydro will become the official electricity distribution supplier of the Games and will decorate its network of poles across the Greater Toronto Area with 4,500 banners to help promote the events.

The firm will also open up one of its facilities in Toronto to house the Uniform Distribution and Accreditation Centre, which will serve thousands of volunteers throughout the Games.

Toronto Hydro has also completed and implemented emergency preparedness and response plans to mitigate the risk of grid disturbances during the Games and to ensure a fast response should an outage occur.

Meanwhile, Cineplex Entertainment will serve as the official movie experience supplier of the Games.

During the weeks leading up to the event, the company will show official Toronto 2015 content in Cineplex theatres across Ontario. Pre-show spots will include Pan Am and Parapan Am athletes’ stories.

In addition, Cineplex will display various Toronto 2015 promotional materials throughout its network of theatres and on its official website.

The Toronto 2015 Pan American Games take place from July 10-26, with the Parapan American Games running from August 7-15.
