Tissot arrives in time for Rugby World Cup

Swiss watch manufacturer Tissot has agreed to become the official timekeeper of Rugby World Cup 2015.

The deal places Tissot in the official supplier category for the national team rugby union tournament alongside official ball supplier Gilbert, official sportwear supplier Canterbury of New Zealand and official male grooming supplier Dove Men+Care.

The Rugby World Cup begins in England next week on September 18.

World Rugby chief executive Brett Gosper said: “The appointment of another brand sector leader further underscores the tremendous appeal of England 2015 in the global marketplace. The stage is now set for what promises to be a spectacular and hugely successful Rugby World Cup that will reach, engage and inspire new audiences like no previous rugby event.”

Heineken, Land Rover, Société Générale, DHL, Emirates and MasterCard are serving as the top-tier worldwide partners of the tournament.
