MLB baseball team Texas Rangers has announced a three-year sponsorship deal with tyre brand Nitto Tire USA (NTU).
Under the agreement, which is effective immediately, NTU will benefit from branding exposure on the media backdrop during Rangers press conferences at the team’s spring training facility in Surprise, Arizona.
NTU is a subsidiary of Japan’s Toyo Tire and Rubber Company and it will have exclusivity for the media backdrop at all formal press conferences with Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish and any other Japanese players on the team during the regular season.
Additionally, NTU will enjoy branding throughout the Surprise facility and static signage during games at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
The decision to partner with Texas Rangers stems from NTU’s North American sales strategy, which is targeting the light and pick-up truck market in Texas, as well as Toyo’s desire to support its native MLB players.
