Bloodstock sales company Tattersalls has reached a deal with the Curragh Racecourse to become the title sponsor of the Irish 2000 Guineas for the next three years.
Tattersalls sponsored the Group One Irish Classic for the first time this year and have now agreed to back the race from 2014-2016, with the option of a further two-year extension.
Next year’s race will take place on Saturday, May 24 as part of the Guineas Spring Racing Festival.
A day later, the Hennessy Gold Cup will run at Leopardstown – a race that Tatersalls has sponsored for 30 years.
