Taranaki Rugby banks TSB shirt sponsorship

TSB Bank has agreed a kit sponsorship deal with New Zealand’s national provincial rugby union champion Taranaki Rugby.

Under the three-year deal running until 2018, TSB Bank takes the branding space on the back of Taranaki Rugby’s playing shirts.

TSB Bank replaces Port Taranaki as the back-of-jersey sponsor after the deep water port complex became the team’s title sponsor.

Financial terms were not disclosed by either party.

At Taranaki Rugby’s Yarrow Stadium, TSB Bank is the naming rights sponsor of the TSB Stand.

TSB Bank chief executive Kevin Murphy said. “The bank has had a good association with the naming rights of the TSB Stand up at Yarrow Stadium so that has given us a good profile. But there are good opportunities out there and it will be good recognition on the jersey to get further recognition outside of Taranaki. We have a growing client base outside of Taranaki and it is about our brand.”
