Taipei’s Universiade signs logistics partner

Global logistics provider CH Robinson has been named as an official partner of this year’s edition of the summer Universiade multi-sport event, which will be staged in Taipei.

Under the agreement, CH Robinson will provide facilitated delivery service for sports equipment and supplies ahead of the event, which is contested by university athletes and this year runs from August 19-30.

About 5,000 freight vehicles and 7,000 staff members will be needed to support the planning of the event. CH Robinson will take the lead for all logistics and transportation from North America, Canada, Latin America, Mexico, Middle East, Africa and Europe.

It will mark the first time CH Robinson has supported a Universiade.
