Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer has entered into a partnership with the PGA of Australia, through which it will sponsor two of the country’s leading golf tournaments.
Tag Heuer’s three-year deal with the PGA of Australia covers the Australian PGA Championship and World Super 6 Perth events.
The agreement, which runs until 2019, also names Tag Heuer as the official watch and timekeeper partner of the governing body.
This year’s Australian PGA Championship will run from December 1-4 at RACV Royal Pines Resort in Queensland. Nathan Holman (pictured) is the defending champion.
The winner of the tournament will be presented with Tag Heuer’s new Carrera Calibre Heuer 01 watch. Tag Heuer will activate its partnership with the event to coincide with its new boutique at the Gold Coast’s recently-opened Pacific Fair shopping precinct.
The inaugural edition of World Super 6 Perth, an innovative new tournament that will feature a final-day six-hole shootout format, will take place from February 16-19 next year at Lake Karrinyup Country Club.
