Australian A-League football team Sydney FC has signed an extended deal with Webjet that means the online travel agency will be its front-of-shirt sponsor for the next two years.
Webjet, which operates primarily in Australia and New Zealand, has been the principal partner of Sydney FC since the 2012-13 A-League season. It signed for the current 2013-14 campaign in August and will now back Sydney FC until the end of 2015-16.
This latest agreement continues a busy year for Sydney FC commercially, following its signing of Italian superstar Alessandro del Piero in September 2012.
State tourism website Destination NSW committed to the club, taking a branding space on the back of the shirt, while petrol brand Caltex sponsors the team’s shorts and is the main sponsor of Sydney’s W-League women’s team.
St George Bank has become the official Sydney FC community partner, while Adidas, StarTrack, Nick Scali, Supa IGA, Beechwood Homes, the Australian Careers Business College and JB Metropolitan Distributors complete the team’s commercial roster.
