Swansea banks record deal with main sponsor

English Premier League football club Swansea City has struck the largest sponsorship deal in its history by extending an agreement with its main sponsor, global financial services provider Goldenway.

The extended deal will run for two years, from the 2014-15 season until 2015-16.

Under the existing agreement, the logo of online trading firm GWFX, one of Goldenway’s core brands, appeared on the front of players’ jerseys.

Goldenway and Swansea will continue to work together to bring the club and the Premier League closer to fans in Asia.

In addition, Swansea will also work with Goldenway to arrange future tours of Asia and coaching exchange programmes.

Swansea City vice-chairman Leigh Dineen, said: “We are not only honoured to be backed by one of the world’s fastest growing financial services providers, but their prestigious presence throughout Asia has helped lift the club’s global brand to a whole new level.’’

Swansea finished 12th in the 2013-14 Premier League.
