Suzuki renews main shirt deal with ISL’s Pune City

The Indian subsidiary of the Suzuki motorcycle company has renewed its lead sponsorship of the Indian Super League (ISL) club FC Pune City.

The deal is an extension of the previous one-year deal and will see the Suzuki Gixxer model logo brand the team’s main front-of-shirt position.

The club is in the top four in terms of ISL sponsorship revenue according to its chief executive Gaurav Modwel. Along with Suzuki Gixxer, the club has signed four associate sponsors, and 12 service partnerships, for this season.

The fifth season of ISL, which kicked off at the weekend, has seen a majority of the 10 ISL franchisees struggle to meet their sponsorship revenue targets, according to local news reports.

Mumbai City FC and ATK, previously Atlético de Kolkata, have yet to announce lead sponsors, although Mumbai City is expected to announce this week.
