Super Rugby’s Waratahs hand shirt spot to real estate firm

Super Rugby franchise New South Wales Waratahs has sealed a sponsorship deal with locally-based real estate agent Ray White.

Throughout the 2014 season Ray White’s branding will feature on the back of the NSW Waratahs jersey, starting with the team’s curtain raiser against Western Force at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium on February 23.

Car company Volvo begins its two-year term as the Waratahs’ principle sponsor this season, while chief executive Jason Allen is confident the two remaining branding slots on the club’s shirt will be filled by the start of the season.

“There is still some work to be done but there are exciting times ahead,” Allen said. “We expect to make two further announcements, both relating to international blue chip companies, in the coming weeks.”

NSW Waratahs came third in the Australian Conference and ninth in the overall 2013 Super Rugby standings.
