Online ticket exchange StubHub has reached a sponsorship agreement with Canadian tennis tournament the Rogers Cup.
The deal focuses on the Toronto event, which rotates annually between a Premier 5 WTA women’s competition and an ATP Masters 1000 men’s contest.
This year, Toronto’s Rexall Centre at York University hosts an elite field including world No.1 Serena Williams from August 3-11, while the men’s event runs parallel in Montreal before alternating for 2014.
StubHub will be the title sponsor of the tournament’s main stage area in Toronto, where attractions include live music, player autograph and Q&A sessions along with other fan activities.
The company partnered with the Lawn Tennis Association in Britain earlier this year, while it also has a sponsorship presence in the Ontario locality with NHL ice hockey outfit the Ottawa Senators.
