State Farm renews Gold Cup deal

Concacaf, football’s governing body in the Caribbean, North and Central America, has announced that insurance company State Farm has signed up as a sponsor of the 2013 Concacaf Gold Cup national team tournament.

Under the deal, State Farm has acquired exclusive rights as the competition’s official auto and home insurance sponsor.

The company struck the deal with the Traffic Sports agency, Concacaf’s marketing partner for the tournament.

State Farm was a sponsor of the three previous editions of the tournament, in 2007, 2009 and 2011. This year’s edition will take place in the United States from July 7-28.
