Sri Lanka Cricket has agreed a sponsorship deal with multi-national lifestyle firm Confident Group ahead of next year’s World Twenty20 tournament in India.
Confident Group has been named the main sponsor of Sri Lanka’s men’s and women’s national teams for the event. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Sidath Wettimuny, chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket, said: “I believe that the Confident Group will continue to maintain its interest in this island nation with continued partnerships with SLC.”
Sri Lanka is the current holder of the men’s World Twenty20 title after winning last year's event in Bangladesh.
The 2016 edition takes place from March 11 to April 3.
