SportAccord, the umbrella organisation for more than 100 international federations and organisations, has entered into a commercial partnership with Chinese sports equipment manufacturer the Taishan Sports Industry Group.
The deal will run for four years, from 2014-15 until 2017-18.
Under the agreement, Taishan will provide all sports equipment and supplies to SportAccord for the duration of the deal.
Taishan has a wealth of experience in this sector having served as the official equipment supplier for a number of major sporting events such as the 2008 summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing, China.
Bian Zhi Liang, group chairman of Taishan, said: “Being the official suppliers of equipment and surfaces of all SportAccord events, we will be able to ensure uniformity across sports and gain penetration into newer markets at the global level.”
