Cycling manufacturer Specialized Women has agreed a sponsorship deal for the new La Course by Le Tour de France event with the one-day race’s organiser Amaury Sport Organisation.
The inaugural edition of the women’s race takes place on Sunday, July 27 – finishing on Paris’ Champs-Elysees before the conclusion of the Tour de France on the same day.
Specialized will be the official performance bike of La Course, a 90km race which includes 13 laps of the Champs-Elysees circuit.
California-based Specialized Women is also the title sponsor of US Specialized-luluemon team and partners Boels-Dolman of the Netherlands, both of whom will take part in the race.
The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
