The Football Association of Ireland has named pay-television broadcaster Sky as the first stand-alone ‘Primary Partner’ of the Republic of Ireland women’s national team.
The four-year deal, thought to be worth a seven-figure sum in euros according to experts, means Sky will be the main sponsor of the women’s national team through two major tournaments – the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand and the 2025 Women’s Euros in Poland.
