Ski Classics drives away with Hertz deal

Car rental firm Hertz has agreed a deal to sponsor the Ski Classics series of long-distance skiing events.

Hertz will serve as a main partner of the championship for its 2016-17 campaign, which got underway last month.

The company will also be the presenting partner of the yellow champion bib competition. As part of the agreement, Hertz’s logo will feature on the yellow bib worn by the series leaders during each Ski Classics event.

Hertz will also offer discounted prices during the season to recreational skiers and pro teams.

David Nilsson, chief executive of Ski Classics, said: “Hertz is an international premium brand and there are many possibilities in our partnership over time. Both our pro team athletes and recreational skiers are in need of quality rental car services when competing in our international events.”

The 2016-17 season resumes on January 4 with the 50km Changchun event in China.
