The Women's National Basketball Association's Seattle Storm has unveiled a new brand identity and redesigned logo.
The updated logo retains the image of the Space Needle, the landmark building in Seattle, which is now set in the green and gold outline of a basketball.
It also includes green lightning bolt, while the triangular top of the design is intended to represent the peak of nearby Mount Rainier.
Updated merchandise featuring the Storm’s new logo has already gone on sale.
The move comes a day after four-time WNBA champion Sue Bird re-signed with the Storm for what will be her 20th season with the team.
