Seat takes to the track with WorldSBK

Spanish automotive manufacturer Seat has agreed a partnership with the Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) motorcycling series.

The agreement names Seat’s Leon Cupra marque as the official safety car of WorldSBK. The car will also be on track during the warm-up lap of every race in each category as part of the agreement.

The length of the partnership was not disclosed, but the agreement will at least cover the 2017 WorldSBK season, which begins at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Australia on February 24.

Seat will benefit from billboard exposure at every round of the championship, while fans will be given the chance to win exclusive experiences as part of the deal.

Meanwhile, French motor oils and lubricants producer Motul has been announced as the title sponsor of WorldSBK’s Thai round for the second successive year. The event will take place at Buriram's Chang International Circuit from March 10-12. Motul also serves as the series’ title sponsor.
