Scottish Rugby signs up vehicle partner

Car retailer Peter Vardy has agreed a deal to become the official vehicle partner of Scottish Rugby, the governing body of rugby union in the country.

The three-year deal begins immediately.

Under the deal, Peter Vardy will provide the governing body with a fleet of Vauxhall vehicles. The cars will mainly be used to transport coaching staff around the country to assist in the development of younger players

In addition, Peter Vardy will also display a selection of cars during each Scotland international game at the national Murrayfield Stadium. The cars will be on display in front of the stadium's east stand for the first time on Saturday for the Scotland v England game in the Six Nations championship.

The firm will also run a kicking competition at Scotland’s Six Nations match against France on March 8. Fans will be given the opportunity to win a Vauxhall Cascada for one year.
