Saxo Bank maintains faith in Lotus

Danish trading and investment specialist Saxo Bank has announced an extension to its sponsorship agreement with the Lotus Formula One motor racing team.

Under the deal, Saxo Bank’s branding will feature on the inner side of the rear wing on Lotus’ car for the 2015 F1 season.

The new Formula One season begins with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 13-15.

Saxo Bank initially partnered with Lotus as its official business partner for the 2014 season – a hugely disappointing campaign in which the team picked up only 10 points to finish eighth in the constructors’ championship.

Matthew Carter, chief executive of Lotus, said: “For us, 2015 is the season where we intend to bounce back. Saxo Bank is a vital part of this fight back against more established and bigger players in our field, helping to cement us as an effective challenger brand.”
