São Paulo secures new shirt sponsor

Plastic products manufacturer Corr Plastik has agreed a shirt sponsorship deal with Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A football club São Paulo.

Under the agreement, which will run until the end of the 2017 season, Corr Plastik’s branding will feature on the sleeve of São Paulo’s shirts. The partnership began with the club’s 1-0 defeat at Grêmio on Sunday.

São Paulo said the deal takes the club past its target of R$30m (€8.3m/$9.1m) in sponsorship revenue for the 2016 season.

Corr Plastik’s branding will also appear on the training kits of São Paulo’s players and coach, while it will receive advertising exposure during games at the club’s Estádio Morumbi, as well as corporate hospitality packages.

The club said the addition of Corr Plastik “virtually” completes its shirt sponsorship line-up for the 2016 season.
