Sadia and Batavo feed Rio 2016’s commercial appetite

Brasil Foods (BRF) has agreed a deal with the Rio 2016 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games for its Sadia and Batavo brands to become official supporters of the Games.

Sadia will represent BRF in the ‘Packaged Foods’ category, with Batavo being designated to the ‘Dairy Products’ section. Both brands will be part of Rio 2016’s second tier of commercial partners.

The Sadia brand has a long-standing association with Olympic sports, through the creation of the Sadia Family, a group of 24 elite athletes, as well as its sponsorship of the Brazilian Confederations of judo, gymnastics and aquatics. Sadia also holds other initiatives that support sports with a focus on social inclusion, including its sponsorship of athletes of the Institute Lançar-se para o Futuro, in Rio de Janeiro, which promotes the development of youngsters through athletics.
