SA Rugby recruits latest sponsor

Southern Palace Group of Companies, a South African industrial holding company, has agreed a sponsorship deal with SA Rugby, the governing body of rugby union in South Africa.

The deal, the length of which was not disclosed, names Southern Palace Group as an associate sponsor of the national team.

The company’s branding will feature on the left panel of the team’s match-day and training shorts as part of the agreement.

Lucas Tseki, group chief executive at Southern Palace Group, said: “We are delighted to partner with SA Rugby, as our partnership will offer the Group a platform to collaborate with a well-established brand to nurture the company’s young, innovative and dynamic brand into the South African and global stage; and through our products and services we can offer SA Rugby a transformative edge off the field.”

SA Rugby last week agreed a deal for MTN to become its new headline sponsor after rival telecommunications company Vodacom opted to step aside from the role. The body has also signed partnerships with courier service RAM and the FlySafair airline in recent weeks.
