Spanish LaLiga football club Real Madrid has renewed its long-running partnership with beer brand Mahou Cinco Estrellas.
The new two-year deal will run until the end of the 2018-19 LaLiga season.
Mahou Cinco Estrellas is one of Real Madrid’s longest-serving partners, having sponsored the club for over a century.
Eduardo Petrossi, managing director of Mahou San Miguel, said: “This is an historic partnership we have had since 1902 and it is more than just sponsorship. Mahou cannot be understood without Real Madrid and vice versa.”
The announcement comes after Mahou Cinco Estrellas last month extended its partnership with LaLiga, which operates the top two divisions of Spanish football. The three-year deal covers the 2017-18 to 2019-20 seasons.
