English Lacrosse has extended its partnership with wealth management firm Rathbones to include title sponsorship of the International Lacrosse Federation (FIL) 2017 Women’s World Cup.
The 10th edition of the competition will take place at Surrey Sports Park from July 13-22, 2017, with more than 26 nations expected to compete for the title. The nine day event will welcome over 10,000 spectators, 700 elite athletes and 2,000 festival lacrosse participants.
In February this year, Rathbones announced a renewed tie-up with English Lacrosse until 2017 and the company will use this association to raise the profile of junior women’s lacrosse and encourage participation in the sport.
