Rangers utilise Liverpool connections with new partnership

Scottish Premiership football club Rangers has agreed a partnership with spirits brand Liverpool Gin.

Owned by Halewood Wines & Spirits, Rangers’ new official gin partner will be made available throughout all of the match day hospitality bars at Ibrox Stadium.

Liverpool Gin branding will be displayed on the stadium’s two giant match screens, as well as throughout Bar72 in the Govan Stand.

A specially-labelled ‘Rangers Gin’ will be created as a gift for coach Steven Gerrard (who grew up in the Huyton area of Liverpool, close to where the organic gin is distilled) and his management team to present to opponents after Uefa Europa League games.

Rangers’ managing director, Stewart Robertson, said: “With the recent arrival of Liverpool greats like Steven and Gary McAllister it is good that we can extend this link to our corporate partners and create opportunities for our fans to share in it during match day hospitality.”

John Kennedy, commercial controller of Halewood Wines & Spirits, added: “This new partnership is rooted in the existing strong connections between Rangers and Liverpool. For these reasons, Rangers is an obvious and authentic choice as a partner that will help us drive national and international reach for Liverpool Gin.”
