Rajasthan Royals and Schneider Electric aim to plant 17,000 trees to neutralise carbon emissions

Indian Premier League franchise Rajasthan Royals has announced an initiative with French energy management company Schneider Electric that will see the franchise attempt to neutralise its carbon dioxide emissions.

Rajasthan Royals and Schneider will attempt to plant 17,000 trees across India over the next six months. The parties claim this will offset the emissions from the franchise’s upcoming match against Delhi Capitals by 2052.
