Qatar Airways aims to lift golf in India

Qatar Airways has agreed a deal to become the official airline partner of the Professional Golf Tour of India until the end of 2015.

Under the agreement, Qatar Airways will work to increase the popularity of golf among its customers and the visibility of tournaments run by the official sanctioning body of professional golf in India.

PGTI director Padamjit Sandhu (pictured) said: “Qatar Airways has been associated with premium sports teams and events across the world. PGTI’s partnership with the airline in India will help us leverage more opportunities for professional golf and golf tourism in the country.”

The financial terms of the partnership between Qatar Airways and the PGTI were not disclosed.
