PyeongChang 2018 signs new top-tier partner

The PyeongChang Organising Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (POCOG) has agreed a partnership with South Korean conglomerate SK Group.

SK will become an official tier one domestic partner for the Games in the semiconductors and oil categories.

The group will be referred to as an ‘official partner’ of PyeongChang 2018 and will be permitted to use the Olympic Games emblem in its promotional activities. SK will also have showcasing rights in Olympic events sites.

Yang-ho Cho, POCOG president, said: “SK Group has been actively supporting sports development in Korea. We deeply appreciate SK Group’s decision to join the sponsorship program and we are confident that the continued support from the Korean business community will help us deliver successful Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.”

The 2018 winter Olympic Games will take place in PyeongChang from February 9-25.
