The Premier Lacrosse League has gained another commercial boost by signing Capital One as its Official Business Banking Partner.
As part of the deal, Capital One has become the jersey-patch sponsor for Atlas LC during the 2019 season. The logos were on view on the main NBC network on Sunday during the team’s match against Chaos LC at Red Bull Arena, in Harrison, N.J.
Capital One will become the presenting sponsor of PLL’s bi-monthly State of the League videos, which live on the league’s social-media channels. The financial services company will also activate at select venues throughout the season.
The start-up league has established a number of commercial partnerships in its attempt to take lacrosse mainstream. The PLL, however, drew just 13,000 fans over its inaugural weekend at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, M.A.
