Banking and financial services holding company Wells Fargo has agreed to extend its sponsorship of North American NBA basketball team Portland Trail Blazers through to the end of the 2015-16 season.
Wells Fargo began its support of Portland Trail Blazers in 2005 and the new deal will take the relationship past the 10-year milestone.
Under the extended deal, both organisations will continue to jointly market their brands throughout the US state of Oregon.
Wells Fargo will also benefit from branding opportunities at the club’s Moda Center home arena, as well as on the team’s state-wide radio and television broadcasts and other official club communications and events.
In addition, the two organisations will also continue to work together on various local community projects including a new college scholarship programme. The company will also continue its support of the Wells Fargo Fan Fest, an initiative that gives fans the chance to win free tickets to a preseason scrimmage.
