Pittsburgh Pirates team up with Coca-Cola

Major League Baseball team Pittsburgh Pirates has announced a multi-year partnership with soft drinks giant Coca-Cola.

Under the terms of the deal, Coca-Cola becomes the official sparkling beverage of the Pirates and its PNC Park ballpark.

Coca-Cola’s Dansani bottled water and Fuze Iced Tea will also be offered alongside its sparkling beverage range. The company will receive full logo and marketing rights, with extensive signage throughout PNC Park. Additionally, Coca-Cola has installed old-style ceramic beverage dispensers throughout the ballpark and will offer souvenir Pirates cups during the 2014 season.

Pittsburgh Pirates previously partnered with Coca-Cola when it played at Three Rivers Stadium but this is the first time it will have a presence at PNC Park, where the team moved in 2001.

Last week, Pittsburgh Pirates announced a deal with beer producer the Pittsburgh Brewing Company, while health insurance provider Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield partnered with the franchise earlier this month.
