Italian Serie A club Inter Milan has agreed to add Driver, an affiliate of long-term sponsor and tyre manufacturer Pirelli, as a shirt sponsor for the 2015-16 football season.
Driver, a tyre retailer and repair specialist, will take the front-of-shirt branding on Inter’s away kit for the new campaign.
Pirelli will remain the main sponsor on Inter’s home shirt, having sponsored the club for 20 years.
Pirelli’s chief of marketing operations, Guido Maestri, said: “This brand won’t replace Pirelli, but will work together with Pirelli. We want that to be clear: Driver will stand side by side with Pirelli. That’s why the historic Pirelli logo remains on the home kit, while Driver adorns the away kit.”
Pirelli’s current sponsorship deal with Inter is set to conclude at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
