PGA of America counts on Omega as long-term partner

Swiss watchmaker Omega has extended its partnership with the Professional Golfers' Association of America through to 2022.

Omega will continue to serve as official patron and official timekeeper of the PGA of America for another eight years from 2015, the longest extension by an official patron partner in PGA history.

The agreement was announced at Valhalla Golf Club ahead of the course’s staging of the 96th US PGA Championship – the fourth golf major of the year, where Omega will also serve as the official timekeeper this year and throughout its extended term.

Other events where Omega retains that designation are the Senior PGA Championship, PGA Grand Slam of Golf, the Ryder Cup when hosted in the US, PGA Professional National Championship and PGA Golf Properties.

The extended agreement also includes advertising on golf broadcasts of PGA of America competitions, corporate hospitality at all major PGA events and Omega clocks positioned at PGA Golf Properties – including PGA Golf Club, PGA Center for Golf Learning & Performance, PGA Country Club, and Valhalla Golf Club.

Additionally, Omega will sponsor the PGA Professional Player of the Year Award and support member-benefit schemes across all 41 PGA Sections, backing player development efforts and facility improvement.
