Pasta brand signs as AC Milan Official Partner

Serie A football club AC Milan signed a two-year ‘Official Pasta Partner’ deal with Italian food company La Molisana before the Christmas break.

The deal, which ends June 30, 2020, gives La Molisana rights to perimeter board advertising at the San Siro stadium, and branding in the hospitality areas and on the club’s social networks.

Some products will also be customised with the AC Milan logo.  The ‘Pasta del Milan’ will be dedicated to the team, while spaghetti and penne products will be packaged in the team colours – red and black.

La Molisana made a similar deal between with Series A rivals AS Roma in July 2018.

Commenting on the deal, Giuseppe Ferro, owner and chief executive of La Molisana, said: ” The partnership with AC Milan is a strategic partnership. Northern Italy is a target for us, while from an international point of view there is an added prestige given the absolutely positive perception the club enjoys.”

According to a statement released by the club, La Molisana exports its products to 80 countries, representing about 35 per cent of the company’s turnover.
