Paris Saint-Germain bolsters Asian footprint with GarudaFood deal

Indonesian food and beverage company GarudaFood has signed an agreement to become Ligue 1 football club Paris Saint-Germain’s first regional partner in Asia.

Under the deal, GarudaFood’s Sportivo Super 02 drinks brand becomes the official water of the French champion.

To promote the partnership, a television advertising campaign featuring PSG players will be launched in Indonesia.

PSG has experienced a sharp boost of its profile in Indonesia following its Asian tour last close-season, with its number of fans in the country on Facebook equivalent to its number of French supporters on the social networking site. The club has also launched a version of its official website in the Bahasa Indonesian language.

The length and financial terms for the partnership between Paris Saint-Germain and GarudaFood were not disclosed.
