Palmeiras doubles up on shirt sponsors with Prevent Senior

Campeonato Brasileiro Série A football team Palmeiras has continued its sponsorship drive by signing up insurance group Prevent Senior as an additional shirt sponsor.

Prevent Senior’s branding will appear on the shoulders of Palmeiras’ playing shirts for the 2015 season, with local media reports suggesting the deal is worth in the region of R5m (€1.5m/$1.85)

The agreement with Prevent Senior follows Palmeiras’ confirmation of a lucrative two-year major sponsorship with financial services group Crefisa, which will net the club R24m annually.

Palmeiras had been without a main shirt sponsor since May 2013 when Korean automotive company Kia cut ties with the club.

Insurance sector giant Allianz is the naming rights partner at Palmeiras Allianz Parque home stadium but the does not enjoy category exclusivity with the club – paving the way for its deal with Prevent Senior.
