Headwear, apparel and accessories manufacturer Ahead has reached an agreement to become the primary headwear provider to golf’s Open Championship for three years, beginning with the 2014 edition of the tournament.
Under the terms of the deal, Ahead will also benefit from becoming the non-exclusive apparel provider to the UK tournament – one of golf’s four annual major championships – during the same period.
An established presence at golf’s major events, Ahead enjoys partnerships with the US Golf Association, the PGA of America and the Ryder Cup, along with numerous PGA Tour competitions.
The 2014 Open Championship will be played at Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake, England from July 17-20. It moves to Scotland in 2015 and 2016, at St Andrews and Royal Troon respectively.
