One Way targets cycling market with Team Katusha tie-up

Russian UCI WorldTour cycling outfit Team Katusha has agreed a two-year partnership with Finnish sportswear brand One Way.

Under the deal, One Way will serve as Team Katusha’s clothing partner for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

One Way will provide Katusha will all its high-performance cycling apparel along with casual clothing, eyewear and other equipment.

A specialist brand in winter and Nordic sports, One Way makes its move into professional cycling having supplied technical clothing to 49 medal winners at this year’s winter Olympic Games in Sochi.

Andreas Bennert, chief executive of One Way Sports, said: “We were impressed by the results of Team Katusha in the classics as well as in the Tour de France. For our company, after having reached the top in Nordic sports, it is an ambition to grow in cycling. As Russia is one of our key markets we arrived logically at Team Katusha.”
