US sportswear manufacturer Under Armour has entered into a partnership with Asian mixed martial arts promotion the One Championship.
Under Armour has been named an official partner of the remainder of the series’ events in Southeast Asia during 2016. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The first event under the partnership will take place in Singapore on Friday, when home favourite Angela Lee will take on Mei Yamaguchi of Japan in the first-ever One Women’s Atomweight event. Lee (pictured) will be aiming to become the first Singaporean to become a MMA world champion.
The partnership will also incorporate further events in Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore before the end of the year.
