Oman FA nets four-year Mazda deal

The Oman Football Association has signed a four-year commercial partnership with Japanese automotive manufacturer Mazda.

Under the agreement, Mazda will serve as the official car partner to the OFA and enjoy category exclusivity across all areas of the national governing body’s operations.

Mazda will be promoted by Oman’s national teams, the country’s domestic league and through community football activities undertaken by the OFA. Along with these branding benefits and prize giveaways for fans, an as-yet undefined football tournament will be launched by the OFA and Mazda in 2014.

The financial terms of the deal were undisclosed, but both parties are working with a view to an extension.
