Olympique Lyonnais signs Tignes ski resort deal

Ligue 1 football club Olympique Lyonnais has signed a ‘region branding’ partnership deal with the Tignes ski resort.

The two-year partnership with the municipality of Tignes will brand the resort as ‘Tignes, Official Sports Resort of Olympique Lyonnais’.

The partnership will promote the region as both a resort destination and for the physical preparation of athletes at altitude, including the Olympique Lyonnais team.

Thierry Sauvage, director general of Olympique Lyonnais, said: “Olympique Lyonnais is pleased to formalise this partnership with the resort of Tignes, which strengthens our historical ties and endorses the quality of the reception and infrastructure when the professional team comes here.”

Under the deal, Olympique Lyonnais is committed to organising its pre-season training camp at the resort until 2020.
