Carbon management company Offsetters Climate Solutions has extended its partnership with the Canadian Olympic Committee by becoming the governing body’s official carbon partner through to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro
Under the deal, Offsetters will analyse, measure and reduce the COC’s organisational carbon footprint and the travel emissions of its athletes, coaches, staff and equipment.
In 2010, Offsetters teamed up with the COC to make the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games the first to be carbon neutral.
Two years later at London 2012 it offset the Canadian Olympic team’s emissions for its trip to the UK.
