NRL’s Warriors extend stay with SkyCity

Auckland-based NRL rugby league franchise the Warriors has renewed its partnership with entertainment and gaming complex developer SkyCity.

The new two-year deal will see SkyCity sponsor the Warriors for the 2016 and 2017 NRL seasons.

The two parties have been in partnership for 15 years. As part of the extension, the Warriors’ jerseys will continue to feature SkyCity branding and the firm’s Auckland operation will host events such as the club’s annual awards ceremony.

SkyCity will also be given naming rights to the Warriors’ membership programme.

“Having been with the club for the past 15 seasons, we’ve developed a fantastic relationship on so many levels,” Nigel Morrison, SkyCity chief executive, said.
