NRL’s Cowboys employ new jersey sponsor

Education training and employment firm Dreamtime Training has signed on as a major sponsor of rugby league club North Queensland Cowboys until the end of the 2016 NRL season.

Dreamtime, which is based in the Queensland city of Townsville, will have its logo placed on front of the Cowboys’ jersey as part of the deal. NRL squad member Ray Thompson will serve as the company’s player ambassador.

As part of the two-year agreement, Dreamtime will also become the Cowboys’ preferred supplier of tertiary training and be a community partner in the annual Obe Geia Challenge junior rugby league carnival on Palm Island.

Dreamtime Training director Gaven Ferguson said: “There’s great synergy there between what we do and what the Cowboys look to achieve with their off-field programmes. A core focus for Dreamtime Training is to support ongoing education and employment for remote indigenous communities – areas which have a tremendous love of rugby league and the Cowboys especially.”
