English Premier League football club Norwich City has moved to terminate its principal sponsorship deal with Asian online betting agency BK8 just days after it was signed, admitting it had “got it wrong” following reaction to the agreement.

Norwich announced BK8 as its new principal sponsor on Monday ahead of its return to the Premier League next season. Norwich said the deal, reported to be worth £5m (€5.79m/$7.05m), would see the BK8 Sports logo adorn the front of its match shirts and training kits for the 2021-22 campaign.
