Northern Arizona University nets Phoenix Suns partnership

Northern Arizona University has entered into a multi-year agreement to become the official education partner of NBA basketball team the Phoenix Suns.

The roll-out of NAU promotional signage at Suns home games has already started. The university will serve as the presenting partner of the national anthem at home matches and collaborate with the Suns to host a military recognition night for Arizona service personnel.

The partnership also includes WNBA team Phoenix Mercury and the teams will partner with NAU on community and education-based initiatives, such as the season-long Educator of the Month promotion that will recognise outstanding teachers in the Greater Phoenix and northern Arizona area.

Additionally, Phoenix Suns executives will join NAU student classes as part of the Guest Instructors initiative. Five NAU alumni currently work within the Suns’ administration. Having just started a five-game road trip, Phoenix Suns’ next home fixture at the US Airways Center is against Los Angeles Lakers on January 15.
